Question 1 of 6
How does the quiz pick your books?
Every pick comes from our list of the 15 best self-improvement books, which we chose for evidence, usefulness and staying power. Each book is tagged by the problem it helps with, how it delivers its ideas (stories, step-by-step frameworks, research or philosophy), its tone and how demanding it is to read.
Your answers score each book against those tags. The problem you want to fix counts most, then how you like ideas delivered, then tone and density. Books you've already read are left out.
There are no affiliate links and nobody pays to be on the list. If a pick doesn't feel right, the full list explains who should skip each book.
Questions
What book should I read next?
Pick the book that matches the problem costing you the most right now: Atomic Habits for habits, Four Thousand Weeks for time, Stolen Focus or Deep Work for focus, The Happiness Trap for anxiety. The quiz narrows it down using how you like to read, too.
Which self-help book should I read first?
If nothing specific is bothering you, start with Atomic Habits. It's practical from the first chapter, and better habits make every other book easier to apply.
Why does the quiz only recommend self-improvement books?
Inkly is built around personal growth, and these are the books we've researched in depth. Recommending books we haven't vetted would be guesswork.
Are these affiliate links?
No. The quiz links to our own write-up of each book, and nobody pays to be recommended.
Are my answers saved?
No. The quiz runs in your browser and your answers are never sent anywhere.
